PAINTINGS

The paintings presented in the gallery include oil on canvas paintings, drawings and digital paintings. The paintings are composed mainly of amorphous configurations consisting of vivid colors, curved and spiral forms inherent to the organic and natural world.

De Beer perceives the world in spectacular colors and forms in a wider spectrum than is customary in the formal world of art. He specializes in creating a compound of colors and forms originating in the combination of the amassment of his vibrant imagination and inner world with structures and objects he takes from the world of nature, engineering, and philosophy.

The creative process of digital work includes the use of fractals, the retrieval of photographs and online images, digitally processing  them, printing them on canvas, and occasionally incorporating the results of the digital processing into oil paintings.
