| Plasti Flora at Knesset Israel Opening 11.12.08

The installation is a field comprising about 1500 plasti flora flowers installed onto steel nets covering 100 m2 of the yard at the Knesset. This installation has been ordered by the Knesset. It has been initiated by PM Mrs. Tartman and the general manager Mr. Balashnikov to honor the 60th anniversary of the state of Israel. The idea behind this project was to educate and engage primary school students in environmental issues, in this case through art by participation in the production of an ecological installation. In actuality thousands of students produced plastiflora flowers under de Beer's guidance. Students from 33 primary national schools; from Arab, Jewish, religious and secular schools nation wide, granted plastiflora flowers to the Knesset.
